Extra Hand Solar Clean take pride in performing a quality job to clean your solar panels, no matter what the condition. This job at Campbelltown consisted of 18 panels, in not too bad condition overall but no install is immune to effects caused by the environment.

These were effected with dirt build up and had bird droppings here and there. More importantly, there was an area towards one end where dirty and contaminated water would gathered on the cells mounted to the pergola.

In this case, dirt gathered and caused a long strip of the cells to become opaque. This happens on horizontally mounted panels more than inclined, mounting angle is a compromise between higher power generation or reduced cleaning frequency.

The owner of this property is very house proud and wanted to look after her solar investment. Since she couldn’t access the roof safely, we did the clean for her.

The opaque areas were successfully removed as was all other dirt and buildup on both sets of panels. If not cleaned, this opaqueness could have caused real damage to the cell over time. By using our ultra clean purified filtered water, free of dissolved solids and other contaminants such as chlorine, we were able to achieve another top quality result meeting all the requirements to maintain manufacturers warranty.

The result was outstanding with the panels now gleaming in the sunlight. These panels will now operate at maximum efficiency, and the owner see a saving in electricity costs.

Whilst there, for a very reasonable price, we pressure washed the driveway and rear hard surfaces in and around the backyard and pergola as per the pictures. Note how much dirt is being removed in areas in progress.
