At Extra Hand Solar Clean, we specialise in providing top-notch, eco-friendly cleaning solutions. Recently, we had the opportunity to revitalise a neglected pathway and adjoining driveway that hadn’t been cleaned in many years.

Due to overhanging plants, the pathway had developed a slippery green organic growth on the surface, making it unsafe and visually unappealing. The adjoining driveway, used by cars for many years, had accumulated significant dirt and grime, giving it a worn and dirty appearance. Both areas appeared not to have been cleaned in many years.

Respecting the customer’s preference for a chemical-free cleaning solution, we opted for a cold pressure wash to address the dirt and organic growth. Our equipment included a 13-horsepower pressure electric start pressure washer, an on-board water supply from our truck tank, a turbo-headed pressure washer wand for corners and edges, and a 16-inch surface cleaner for larger open areas. This combination ensured powerful, consistent, and efficient cleaning across all surfaces.

The cold pressure wash effectively removed the slippery organic growth from the pathway and the accumulated dirt from the driveway, significantly freshening up both areas. While the old concrete ideally would have benefited from a chemical pre and post-treatment to achieve an even brighter and cleaner finish, the customer preferred to avoid chemicals. We respected this choice and focused on delivering the best possible results using only our high-pressure wash technique.

For environmentally conscious customers like this one, we also offer a chemical-free post-treatment option. This environmentally friendly solution features a special blend of biodegradable selective fungicides that are non-caustic, non-acidic, bleach-free, and biodegradable. This treatment kills problem spores at the source and helps prevent premature regrowth, ensuring a longer-lasting clean surface without harming the environment.

Despite the absence of chemical treatments, our cold pressure wash achieved a remarkable improvement in the appearance of both the pathway and driveway. The areas now look much cleaner and safer, reflecting the effectiveness of our chemical-free cleaning methods.
