At Extra Hand Solar Clean, every job is different but there is always a common problem and background story before we get there.

In this case, a brand-new driveway was laid a few years back. During works of an extension shortly thereafter, a tradies vehicle leaked oil onto the driveway creating an unsightly stain. The owner tried over a few years everything they could think of to remove this oil stain, with no success.

The driveway, despite its young age, was now starting to look a bit tired with not only the oil stain, but organic growth and dirt adhering to it. These contaminants were also impregnated into the sandstone capping on the brick fence.

A pretreatment was done on the oil stain which removed 90% if the oil stain on the day, this required some manual scrubbing followed by pressure washing. After a day or two, the pre-treatment completed its work with the oil stain entirely gone.

Pressure washing on the driveway using our surface cleaner at pressures of 3500psi did the rest of the work to bring it up like new.

The ONLY detergents or chemicals we used on this job were to remove the oil stain, which was diluted to safe levels. This controls and minimises the runoff of detergents into your garden and the surrounding environment. The result shows chemicals are not the answer to cleaning external surfaces if you have the right methods and equipment.

The sandstone was pressure washed at a lower pressure and produced an excellent result with the material looking like new again.

An overall standard like this can only be achieved at the pressures we mentioned using specialised equipment. Your plug in pressure washer just doesn’t have the performance to complete a job like this to the high standard we reached.
