This job at Greystanes, south of Pendle Hill and north of Smithfield, consisted 12 solar panels on a residential home.

The property had only recently been purchased by a young professional couple, who had no knowledge of current cell condition since no history had been provided by the previous owners. They could however see contamination on the panels from ground level.

They subsequently wished to establish a baseline condition, at the same time keeping their panels in the best order possible. They did not have the tools or skills to do this job safely, so Extra Hand was engaged.

We noted mould and algae on the edges of the panels. This indicates the amount of contamination on the black surface (very hard to see) of each panel, blocking the absorbtion of sunlight, reducing solar output and increasing power bill costs.

We did the clean in 2 stages, first with regular water, then we used our ultra clean purified filtered water, which acts like a natural solvent, to perform the actual clean. We were able to achieve another top quality result.

These panels will now operate at maximum efficiency once again, with reduced chance of cell breakdown and failure. The owner will see an uptick in power generation, flowing onto reduced power bills.
